About Us

Or haGan is Eugene’s newest independent congregation devoted to deepening our Jewish spiritual paths, learning Torah, lively and meaningful worship and developing new programs for Eugene and the Southern Willamette Valley Jewish community.

We are a friendly and open community founded on classical Jewish traditions, text and practice, open to the renewal of Judaism through halakhic observance, liturgy, music, mediation, movement, and ritual. Sephardi and Ashkenazi traditions strengthen our commitment to the halakha, the Jewish rabbinic path. Seeking a relationship to the Divine through prayer, mitzvot, and service, we are building a community by enhancing each individual’s connection to the Creator and to Jewish life. We worship together twice each month on Shabbat mornings, monthly for Kabbalat Shabbat, and on the holy days and festivals. Contact us to be included in notification of our worship calendar.

Or haGan meets at Unity of the Valley at the corner of  39th and Hillyard in Eugene (at Dillard Rd.).
